Closer Weekly has secured an exclusive first look at Ann-Margret’s entrance into the world of Happy! At 77 years young, this legendary star plays Bebe DeBarge, a former showbiz sensation who fits right into the quirky and chaotic universe of the series. In the video, Bebe engages with the show's beloved character, Happy (voiced by the one and only Patton Oswalt), as she lounges in her lavish apartment. She dishes out some sage advice to the small, blue, winged unicorn, adding her own flair to the mix. Check out this hilarious clip below!
Now, here's something you might not know: The show's other leading man, Christopher Meloni's Nick Sax, isn't featured in this clip. But guess what? Ann-Margret and Christopher have history! They worked together on an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, where Ann earned her first and only Emmy in 2010. It was Christopher himself who reached out to Ann, inviting her to join the cast of Happy!. Luckily for us, she said yes!

What is 'Happy!' All About?
Let me fill you in on the basics. Happy! is inspired by the graphic novel of the same name, penned by Grant Morrison and brought to life visually by Darick Robertson. The first season aired from December 6, 2017, through January 31, 2018. Season two kicked off on March 27, 2019. Fun fact: SNL star Bobby Moynihan originally lent his voice to Happy in the pilot.
The show centers around Nick Sax, a once-great police detective who's now moonlighting as a hitman to fund his drug and alcohol habits. After a near-death experience, Nick encounters Happy, but here's the twist—only Nick can see this vibrant, magical unicorn. Happy is actually the imaginary friend of Hailey, Nick’s long-lost daughter, who's been kidnapped by someone known as "Very Bad Santa." Together, Nick and Happy embark on a wild journey to rescue Hailey.
