It’s Just Another Day at the Office for Savannah Guthrie

Now, that’s what you call a dream job. Savannah Guthrie, the beloved anchor of the Today Show, has rubbed elbows with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. But even among those stars, meeting George Clooney is a pretty big deal — or so you’d think. Not for Savannah, though. When she posted a picture of herself with the Hollywood legend on Instagram, she kept it light and casual, calling it an “average day at the office.”

Savannah shared the photo on May 3, 2019, capturing the moment she posed with George Clooney, the ever-charming actor from ER, along with fellow stars Kyle Chandler and Christopher Abbott. The group came together to promote their Hulu mini-series, Catch-22. It’s no surprise that her fans were more than a little jealous of her enviable job.

George Clooney’s Perspective on His Work

George Clooney, the two-time Academy Award winner, shared his thoughts on the Hulu series during a recent TCA Winter Tour session. He emphasized his passion for the quality of the work rather than the fame. “I just care about the quality of the work,” he explained. “And what we’re able to do. And television is doing some amazing things.” He also mentioned an upcoming eight-part piece on Watergate, revealing, “We just want to work.”

Now, here’s a story that might make you chuckle. Despite being one of the most famous men in the world, George Clooney isn’t allowed to ride motorcycles anymore. He revealed this during a Catch-22 panel at the DGT Theater in New York City on May 1, 2019. “I got into a really bad accident,” he confessed. “I hit a guy at 70 miles an hour on my bike. Got launched. And so that’s, I’m off of bikes.”

According to an insider, she’s furious about the whole ordeal. “She and his friends have been wanting him to get rid of that scooter,” the source revealed. “His mother even called him to admonish him about it, that she’s been wanting him to get rid of it, too.”
