Hey there, let me tell you a story about the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, and her vision for the future of her little ones. When Kate visited the Scouts' headquarters in London, England, on March 28, she made it clear that she wants Prince George and Princess Charlotte to take a page from her own childhood and join the Scouts. It’s like she’s saying, “Hey, kids, why don’t you follow in my footsteps?”
What Kate Had to Say
During her tour, Kate shared her thoughts with 14-year-old Lauren Noble, who was guiding her around. Lauren said, “She mentioned that she’d like her children to become part of the scouting community because she truly admires what it represents. It’s an open and inclusive way to navigate life.” Lauren added, “She believes it would be an incredible experience for them to get involved. She was genuinely impressed by how much they’ve accomplished at such a young age and the multitude of skills they could acquire.”

Connecting with Culture
Another young Scout, 17-year-old Tahseen Patel, had the opportunity to speak with Kate about cultural diversity. Tahseen mentioned, “She expressed her desire to involve her children in various cultures. She emphasized how you can learn so many valuable life skills through scouting.” Tahseen went on to say, “I discussed with her the importance of the mosque and how vital it is for religion and scouting to coexist. We need to understand each other’s religions and unite as a community.”

Tahseen continued, “She really drove home the point about the importance of understanding one another and learning about each other’s religions and cultures. She’s incredibly down-to-earth. I was nervous, as were all of us, but she was just a regular, humble person. She made us feel at ease.”
Kate's Comfortable Visit
Prince William’s wife, who was once a Brownie girl scout herself, seemed right at home during her visit. It’s almost like she was reminiscing about her own experiences. Kate not only helped clean up an outdoor area but also got her hands dirty with some hand-painting on a tree to mark the centenary of the scouting headquarters.
