A Family So Big, It's Hard to Keep Up
It almost feels like Marie, the beloved star of Donny & Marie, is celebrating a family milestone every other day. And honestly, with eight children and four grandchildren, can you blame her? But wait, there’s more! Marie herself comes from a massive family, being one of ten siblings. Imagine the chaos and the joy that comes with a family this size! Marie’s Incredible Journey as a Mother and Grandmother
Marie has had quite the journey when it comes to her family life. In 2011, she remarried her first husband, Stephen Craig, with whom she shares her eldest son, Stephen Jr., now 35. She’s also the proud mom to Jessica, 31, Rachel, 29, Brandon, 22, Brianna, 21, Matthew, 19, and Abigail, 16, all with her ex-husband, Brian Blosil. Tragically, she and Brian also lost their son Michael to suicide in 2010, a heartbreak that no parent should ever have to endure.
Through all the ups and downs, Marie has found immense joy in being a mother and grandmother. Back in 2016, she told Closer Weekly, “Out of all the awards and accolades that I’ve received, nothing compares to the blessings I feel from being a mother to my eight children and a grandma to three.” She acknowledges the challenges but chooses to focus on the light rather than the darkness. “There were tough times, sure, but I refuse to dwell on the negatives.
