But her mom, Betty DeGeneres, recently opened up about why she doesn’t think Ellen and her wife, Portia de Rossi, will be adding any grandchildren to the family picture anytime soon.
Betty, a former speech therapist, shared her thoughts at the Human Rights Campaign 2019 Los Angeles Gala Dinner on March 30. “Ellen has far too much class,” she said with a smile. Now, that's quite the compliment if you ask me.

That’s right, folks, every single week. “That’s why she moved me,” Betty joked, explaining that Ellen bought her a condo in Sierra Towers in Los Angeles. “But it was such a long trip back and forth every day, especially during the first couple of seasons. So, she bought me a house just two blocks from the studio.”
