Jojo, as Joanna Gaines is affectionately called, gave birth to their fifth child, baby Crew, on June 23. This addition to their family was a delightful surprise for both Chip and Joanna. In an interview with People magazine, Joanna revealed her initial disbelief upon discovering she was pregnant again. “I had been feeling a little emotional and crazy and thought, ‘Wow, this isn’t me,’” she admitted. “Then all of a sudden I realized, ‘Hey, I remember this.’ When I saw the results of the test, my jaw dropped. Chip was in the driveway about to leave when I called him back and said, ‘We’re pregnant!’ He was so excited. We’re both just so excited.”

Back in 2016, Chip opened up to House Beautiful about their approach to life. “We wake up every morning, we get after it, and we spend good quality time with our kids, but that’s usually with some sweat dripping off our brow,” he explained. “We enjoy work as a family, we enjoy work as a couple. So big picture, I would say that we are really advocates to the benefits of a good hard day’s work. It certainly helps you sleep better at night, it helps you feel confident about the work that you do. And that means a lot to Jo and I as a couple.”
