Even as the world faces the challenges of quarantine, radio host John Tesh has found a silver lining in spending more quality time with his wife, actress Connie Sellecca. In a candid conversation with Closer Weekly, the legendary pianist and pop composer shares how date nights at home with the Hotel star have become a cherished highlight during these unprecedented times.
A New Twist on Date Nights
John Tesh, 67, reveals in a recent interview that the pandemic has redefined his social calendar. "Before all this, my wife and I would go out two or three nights a week," he says. "Now, we've adapted to enjoying our time together at home." The couple's evenings have taken on a new charm, with Connie, an accomplished Italian cook, leading the culinary charge in their home kitchen. "I’m incredibly lucky to have her by my side during this time," John adds with a smile.

John jokes that while Connie, 64, doesn't cook every single day, he's been soaking up every moment of their shared kitchen adventures. "That’s how it’s changed for me — I have the greatest benefit of all," he says with a laugh. "Our date nights have become something truly special."

Supporting Heroes Together
This isn't the first time John has highlighted the importance of family during tough times. On Friday, April 17th, the syndicated radio star joined forces with Connie and their son Gib for a six-hour live Facebook fundraiser. The event aimed to support the nation's healthcare heroes, showcasing the Teshs' commitment to giving back to their community during the pandemic.
In the latest issue of Closer magazine, John opened up about the profound impact his wife has had on his life, especially during his battle with a rare form of prostate cancer. During their conversation, the Grammy-nominated musician recounted a moment of vulnerability following his diagnosis in 2015. "I’m a pretty emotional guy," John admits. "There was a time when I was really struggling, and I looked my wife in the eyes and said, 'Will you please kill me?'"
