It has been lovely to just have that time to connect,” she gushed back in March 2020. “We remarried after being apart for 25 years, so this was the first time we’ve been alone since I can remember. It was like starting fresh, rediscovering each other all over again.”

Staying Connected Through Challenging Times

While in lockdown in Utah, Marie found solace in staying connected with her children through a “family group text.” For her, these messages weren’t just updates—they were lifelines. “I would just sit there, and the texts [would be] so beautiful,” she said, beaming with pride. “It was amazing to see how they were growing closer, supporting each other, and sharing their lives. Those moments brought me so much happiness during such a challenging time.”
