Just after the Season 24 cast of Dancing with the Stars was announced earlier this year, the spotlight shone brightly on Mr. T, the legendary wrestler, and his professional dance partner, the incredibly talented Kym Johnson. Now, here’s the kicker: Kym happens to be married to none other than Robert Herjavec, the sharp-dressed man from Shark Tank. So, naturally, there was a little playful banter about how Robert might react if things got too cozy between his wife and her dance partner.
“Robert’s like, ‘Oh, you’ve got Mr. T. I hope I don’t have to come and kick his a**,’" Kym joked to Entertainment Tonight at the time. You can almost hear the laughter in her voice as she shared this story. But don’t worry, Mr. T wasn’t fazed one bit. In fact, he took it all in stride and even found it amusing.

“He had me shakin’, yes!” Mr. T replied. “‘Cause I thought he was gonna get the other guys from Shark Tank on me. You know, yeah, oh boy!” You can picture the scene, can’t you? The big man, Mr. T, a little nervous but still holding his own, ready to take on whatever comes his way.

“I told her, when I met her, I found out she was married, ‘Now, you tell your husband, I won’t hold you in a certain way. I’m gonna be respectful,’” Mr. T continued. “I’m an old-fashioned momma’s boy. I am. Can’t be vulgar. Very respectable… I’m a tough guy, but I’m a gentle guy.” Isn’t that just the sweetest thing? It’s moments like these that remind us that even the toughest guys have a soft side.
Kym assured him he had nothing to worry about! “[Robert was] so excited,” she shared. “He’s [was] our No. 1 fan.” And that’s the beauty of it all. Even in the world of competitive dancing, love and respect still rule the day.

The Journey Continues
The last time the 40-year-old pro starred on the program before competing with Mr. T, she was paired with her now-husband, Robert! Kym and the Shark Tank star, 54, first met on DWTS as partners and later tied the knot in July 2016. They finished in seventh place on Season 20. Interestingly, Kym previously told ET in August 2016 that she was done starring as a DWTS pro. “I love the show and I love to still be part of it, but you know, I still want to hang up my dance shoes and what a way to end,” she said at the time. “It’s like, ‘Thank you, Dancing With the Stars.’”

But she clearly went back on her word! The blonde beauty revealed the real reason why she returned to the popular dance competition in March. “When they told me [my partner] was Mr. T, I was like,’You know what? How can I resist that?’” she confessed. “I’m coming back, and I’m so glad I’m here.”
During the show’s 24th season, Kym and Mr. T were eliminated third from the competition. “Thank you. I said I couldn’t dance but I’d try. It was a great experience, I enjoyed myself. Thank you,” Mr. T said after the results were read. Here’s hoping the two are paired together again for a future all-star season!
