How Love Blossomed at Princeton
Daphne and John's love story began in the hallowed halls of Princeton University, where they were both students. It was during her time at college that Daphne found inspiration for her first successful book, The Dorm Room Diet. As her career started to take off, her personal life was also heating up. In 2010, she walked down the aisle with John, marking the beginning of a beautiful journey filled with love, laughter, and a growing family.
A Growing Family
The couple’s family started to grow in February 2014 with the arrival of their first child, daughter Philomena. Their son, Jovan, came into the world in October 2015, followed by daughter Domenica in December 2017. Their fourth child, daughter Giovanna, was born in August 2019. “We try to balance the intensity of family life with time just for the two of us,” John shared with Us Weekly in April 2019. “Having happy parents creates a strong bond with the children. We’re really in sync.”
John’s Professional Journey and Family Time
Since July 2021, John has taken on the role of Chief Executive Officer at Nova Fleet, an investment platform focused on transforming and decarbonizing major industries. Despite his demanding job, the former Concordia Senior Advisor is often seen spending quality time with his children on Daphne’s Instagram. He shares a special bond with his son, Jovan, whom he took to a Miami Dolphins game in January 2022.
Cherishing the Little Moments
In a March 2022 interview with Closer, Daphne revealed her appreciation for the little moments she shares with her husband. Whether it's cooking meals together, going on walks, or watching their favorite movies in their beautiful Florida home, these moments are cherished.
“We’ve recently added a new member to our family — our adorable puppy, Luca Brownie Bruno,” Daphne gushed. “We love taking him for walks, sometimes with the whole family and sometimes just the two of us. It’s a great way to enjoy some alone time, breathe in fresh air, and teach him how to walk on a leash.”
