Girl Meets Farm star Molly Yeh has charmed audiences since the show premiered in 2018. She’s not only wowing viewers with her delicious recipes but also sharing glimpses of her life as a mom. Molly, alongside her husband, Nick Hagen, is raising two adorable daughters, Bernadette Rosemary “Bernie” Yeh Hagen and Ira Dorothy Yeh Hagen, in a home filled with love and laughter.
The Beginning of a Beautiful Family
Molly and Nick, who tied the knot in 2014, welcomed their first bundle of joy, Bernie, in March 2019. This marked the beginning of their journey as parents, and Molly wasted no time sharing the heartfelt story behind her daughter’s name in an interview with People. She explained that Bernie’s name was a tribute to both sides of the family. “We are so incredibly in love with Bernie! She’s named after Nick’s great-great-grandpa Bernt, who emigrated from Norway and started the Hagen farm, and my great-grandpa Bernard, who came over from Hungary,” Molly gushed. “Rosemary was my mom’s mom, so her name carries a lot of history and meaning for us.”

The proud parents couldn’t resist capturing every precious moment of Bernie’s growth. Through social media, Molly and Nick shared adorable photos of Bernie helping out in the kitchen and celebrating her first birthday. Life with Bernie was filled with joy, but the family was about to grow even more. In September 2021, Molly excitedly announced that she was expecting her second child. “Cravings aside, we’re absolutely thrilled to welcome another little bean to our family!” Molly told People. “Bernie is already practicing to be the best big sister with her Cabbage Patch doll, and she’s doing an amazing job! She even suggested naming the new baby Bernie, so we’re still brainstorming names.”

Juggling Parenthood and TV Life
Even while pregnant with her second child, Molly continued to work her magic on Girl Meets Farm. During one episode, she revealed all her pregnancy cravings, which included pink donuts and grape slushies. Just days after filming, Molly shared the sweetest news of Ira’s arrival through a series of delightful Instagram photos. “Dorothy is named after Dorothea, the original matriarch of the farm (Nick’s great-great-grandma), and Ira is thanks to our dear friend Jamie, who suggested it, and we absolutely adore it,” Molly shared. “Bernie is embracing her role as a big sister beautifully, introducing Ira to all the fun things like tickles, magic wands, tutus, and Frozen songs. We couldn’t be more excited to be a family of four!”
