But fate has other plans when Sandy finds herself at Danny's high school, setting the stage for a rollercoaster of emotions. However, Danny's caught up in trying to be cool, which makes it tough for him to reveal his true feelings for Sandy. Who's Behind the Magic?
Writing the screenplay for this exciting new chapter is John August, a heavyweight in the world of film with credits like the Charlie’s Angels movies featuring Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu, and Cameron Diaz. He's also responsible for the enchanting stories of Big Fish, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Dark Shadows under the direction of Tim Burton. And let's not forget Disney's live-action Aladdin from this past May. While John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John weren’t interested in a sequel, Hollywood gave it a shot in 1982 with Grease 2. This time, Maxwell Caulfield played the good guy Michael Carrington, and Michelle Pfeiffer made her big screen debut as the bad girl Stephanie Zinone. Some familiar faces from the original did return, including Didi Conn as Frenchie, Eve Arden as Principal McGee, Sid Caesar as Coach Calhoun, and Eddie Deezen as Eugene Felsnic. However, the sequel didn’t quite capture the same lightning in a bottle as the original.
