The news hit especially close to home for Vicki Lawrence, who spent 11 unforgettable seasons working alongside him on the iconic The Carol Burnett Show. In a heartfelt statement to Closer Weekly, Vicki Lawrence’s rep described the beloved comedian as "hysterical, crazy, bold, fearless, humble, kind, adorable — all synonyms for Tim Conway." Vicki added, "I am so fortunate to have shared a stage with him. Harvey [Korman] and Tim are together again, and I can only imagine the laughter they're bringing to the angels tonight." These words paint a vivid picture of a man who was not just a brilliant comedian but also a cherished friend.

    Tim Conway: A Comedy Legend Who Left a Lasting Impact

    Tim Conway wasn’t just a guest on The Carol Burnett Show; he was a cornerstone of the program. For 11 seasons, from 1967 to 1978, Tim and Vicki worked together, bringing joy and laughter to millions of viewers. Vicki was a mainstay throughout the entire run, while Tim initially appeared as a frequent guest performer for the first eight seasons before becoming a regular in the final three. Alongside Carol Burnett, the cast included other legendary figures like Harvey Korman, Lyle Waggoner, and Dick Van Dyke, making it a true ensemble of comedic brilliance.

    On May 14, Howard Bragman, Tim’s representative, delivered the devastating news of his passing to Closer Weekly. Tim Conway, the beloved star of McHale’s Navy, passed away that morning at approximately 8:45 a.m. in the Los Angeles area. According to reports, his death was due to complications from Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus (NPH). Thankfully, Tim showed no signs of dementia or Alzheimer’s, which offers some small comfort to his fans and loved ones.

    A Legacy of Laughter and Love

    Tim Conway leaves behind a wife of 35 years, Charlene Conway, along with seven children — a stepdaughter, five biological sons, and one biological daughter — and two granddaughters. His family has requested that, in lieu of flowers or gifts, donations be made to The Lou Ruvo Brain Center at the Cleveland Clinic in Las Vegas, a testament to his lifelong commitment to supporting others.
