Lead actress Josephine Langford, who plays Selma’s daughter in the movie, couldn’t stop gushing. “Selma is like a treasure chest full of sunshine, olives, and everything that’s good in this world,” Josephine shared with a big smile. “She’s not just hilarious and lovely, but also an incredible actress. Working with her has been such a joy. Her energy is infectious, and she brings so much warmth to the set.”

Even Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, who only met Selma a few times, couldn’t stop raving about her. “Selma is so cool. We had this amazing hour-long conversation outside, and it was incredible,” the 21-year-old actor shared. “When you see actors who can seamlessly transition from being funny and confident in real life to fully stepping into their roles on set, it’s truly inspiring. Selma is one of those people. She’s got this incredible ability to be completely in character when the cameras roll and then just as effortlessly step back out of it.”

Josephine, also 21, and Hero weren’t the only ones singing Selma’s praises. Inanna Serkis was quick to emphasize just how kind and sweet the Cruel Intentions star is. “I absolutely adore her. She was getting her makeup done at the same time as me, and I just had to tell her how much I love her,” Inanna, 25, recalled. “I didn’t even share scenes with her, but she’s so warm and welcoming. Honestly, she’s the sweetest person I’ve ever met. I feel so lucky to have had the chance to work with her.”

And then there’s Shane Paul McGhie, who didn’t even get the chance to meet Selma in person, but still had nothing but good things to say. “One day, Selma followed me on Instagram, and I was like, ‘Wait, is this some fan page?’ And then I saw the blue checkmark, and I was blown away,” Shane remembered with a laugh. “She just exudes this warm, positive energy that you can feel even from a distance. I’d love nothing more than to give her a big hug and tell her how much she inspires me.” Aww, right?
