With Meghan Markle nearing her spring due date, the world is eagerly waiting for Baby Sussex's arrival. The anticipation isn’t just among fans; even the royal family is buzzing with excitement. During a 12-day royal tour of the Caribbean with Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, couldn't hide her joy about becoming a grandma to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first child. While visiting Havana, Camilla shared her excitement with fans.
On Monday, March 25, while greeting admirers in Cuba’s capital, an American tourist asked the 71-year-old if she was excited about meeting her newest grandchild in the coming weeks. “Yes, very much so,” Camilla replied, according to Hello! magazine. It was evident that the Duchess couldn’t contain her excitement, and who could blame her? Being a grandma is one of the most rewarding roles anyone could have.

Grandma Camilla on the Joys of Grandparenting
Camilla, who is already a grandma to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s three adorable kids — Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and Prince Louis, 11 months — can’t wait to expand her grandparenting role. She’s also a proud grandma to her own son and daughter’s children. In a documentary titled The Real Camilla: HRH The Duchess of Cornwall, the Duchess opened up about the "wonderful" experience of being a grandparent.

“Yes, I’d recommend it to everybody,” Camilla said in the documentary aired in April 2018. “It’s very nice because you don’t have the full responsibility. You can give them a wonderful time, spoil them, give them all the things their parents won’t let them have, and then give them back again.” It’s clear that Camilla embraces the lighter side of grandparenting with open arms and a lot of love.
