As the curtain nears its final drop on their Las Vegas residency, Marie Osmond finds herself reflecting on a career that has spanned decades. The legendary singer of “Paper Roses” took to Instagram on Sunday, March 24, to express her heartfelt emotions about her 11-year stint at the Flamingo Hotel. In a touching tribute, she also celebrated her cherished brother and stage partner, Donny Osmond, whose presence has been pivotal in her journey.
Marie, now 59, shared in her Instagram caption that she and Donny had officially announced the end of their run at the Flamingo Vegas during an appearance on Good Morning America on Thursday, March 21. “This week, my brother Donny and I made it official: we will be taking our final bow this November,” she wrote. Despite their decision being prayerfully considered and providing them with a sense of peace, the reality of saying goodbye is bittersweet. “Donny is my brother first and my business partner second,” she continued, acknowledging the deep bond they share. “He has been there for me through some incredibly difficult times, and I am eternally grateful for his unwavering support.”

My husband is truly the love of my life. And so, I look ahead to the reality of one door closing and another opening up. The other night I turned to Donny as we took our spots for the opening of the show and said: “Hey D, let’s just have fun with every show as we count down to the last one… let’s enjoy every moment.” Saying good bye is never easy, but as Donny said “It’s the end of The Donny & Marie Show, it’s not the end of Donny and Marie.” 😉😘 #donnyandmarie

Marie emphasized that despite the peace they found in their decision, the departure from the residency will not be easy. "It is so hard to think about saying goodbye to the amazing, talented, and hardworking people who have become our family over the last 11 years," she confessed. Her words resonated with the gratitude she feels towards the extended family they've built over the years.
Turning her focus to their loyal fanbase, Marie expressed her deepest appreciation. "And then, there are you—our dedicated, loyal friends, fans, and acquaintances," she wrote. "Thank you for coming to our shows, some of you returning countless times. Without you, none of this would have been possible. You have made all the difference. You have shaped who we are. How can I ever thank you enough?"
Brotherly Bond: Donny Reflects on Their Journey
During their appearance on GMA, Donny opened up about the profound bond he shares with his sister. “We’ve been through so much in the past 11 years, especially her,” he said, referring to the challenges Marie faced, including the tragic loss of her son Michael Blosil in 2010. Despite these hardships, Donny marveled at her professionalism. “She gets on stage, and she’s such a professional. She does a great job. I’m going to miss this a lot. What she’s gone through and still remained a professional—it’s a bond that will never be broken.”
