When asked if they've been in touch with her while she's been away, Craig gave a heartfelt response. “Just talked to her a couple of days ago. She’s taking some time to be with her family, and we talk to her all the time,” he shared. “We love our girl. It’s been amazing to see how much everyone loves her, too,” he added, his voice filled with admiration for his colleague.

Al chimed in with support, saying, “We’re just praying for her.” Dylan echoed the sentiment, acknowledging Sheinelle's feelings of missing the show. “She misses being here, you know, she wishes she was here with us,” Dylan explained. “But she’s doing what she needs to do, and she’ll be back,” she reassured fans.

On January 15, Sheinelle broke her silence about her absence, sharing a heartfelt message on Instagram. “I sincerely appreciate all of you who have reached out while I’ve been absent from the show,” she wrote. “I want to share with you that I’m taking time to deal with a family health matter,” she revealed. “It’s not lost on me how lucky I am to have not only the support of my Today show family, but to also have all of you.
