Marie’s Family Life: A Source of Joy
When asked about her happiness, Marie once confided to Closer Weekly, “I am the happiest I have ever been!” And it’s easy to see why. Among all the awards and accolades she’s earned throughout her illustrious career, nothing compares to the love and support she receives from her family. “Out of all the awards and accolades that I have been blessed with throughout my life, nothing comes close in comparison with the blessings I receive from being a mother to my eight children and grandma of three,” she said with heartfelt gratitude.
A Look Back at Marie’s Journey
For Marie, family has always been at the heart of her life. “I’ve gotten to experience things with them that I never did,” she reflected. “I didn’t really have a childhood—my life has not been normal.” Growing up, Marie’s world revolved around her brothers and their music group, The Osmonds, which skyrocketed to fame in the 1960s. Their hit song “One Bad Apple” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1971, cementing their place in music history.
Success on Stage, but Family is Her Greatest Achievement
Despite her early rise to fame, Marie remains grounded and credits her family for keeping her connected to what truly matters. “Even though my childhood was spent performing with my brothers, my biggest accomplishment will always be my kids,” she shared. It’s clear that Marie values her role as a mother and grandmother above all else, and her family continues to inspire her every day.

Marie credits her late mother, Olive Osmond, for instilling in her the importance of prioritizing family. “She said, ‘You know that you are successful when you can honestly say that you are a happy grandma. That means that your children love you, that you have put family first and that your grandbabies love you,’” Marie recalled fondly. Today, she can proudly say that she’s both a happy mother and a happy grandma.
