I mean, models were from another planet back then. It just seemed so far-fetched.”

But sometimes, destiny has a way of finding us. At the tender age of 17, Cheryl’s life took a dramatic turn when she decided to give modeling a try. And boy, did it pay off. What started as a part-time gig during high school and college quickly snowballed into something much bigger. “I would do anything and everything,” Cheryl reminisced. “Fashion shows in the back parking lot of a department store? Sure! Working for $5 an hour? Absolutely! I was thrilled. I just worked hard and did anything and everything I could.”
